Tuberculosis (TB) is a disease caused by myco-bacteria that are spread through the air in the form of droplets when an infected person coughs or sneezes. Symptoms include cough, fever, fatigue and weight loss. Early diagnosis by testing the sputum is important for effective and complete cure. Treatment includes a combination of antibiotics that needs to be given for 6 to 9 months.
